The CBI special court at Nampally in Hyderabad today remanded the former mining department director Mr Rajagopal to CBI custody till Nov 21.
Rajagopal was arrested Saturday night by the CBI and was produced before the special court today. The court directed the CBI to question him from 9 am to 5 pm daily in the presence of his lawyers. The CBI also produced him before another magistrate on Sunday.
Meanwhile, congress MLA Mr Veerasiva reddy demanded Rajagopal to reveal the names of persons who pressurized him to issue licenses in favour of Gali Janardhan reddy-owned Obulapuram Mining Corporation (OMC).
“Sri Lakshmi, Rajagopal and BP Acharya should reveal the names of persons for whom they had worked,” said Veerasiva reddy. “Everyone knows that Jagan was responsible for the sins committed in mining. The officials helped Gali Janardhan reddy and issued him mining leases at the instance of Jagan only and they should reveal his name openly,” he demanded.
