CBI grills former IAS officer Prabhakar Reddy in Gali case

The CBI today questioned the former IAS officer Mr Prabhakar reddy in the illegal mining case involving the former Karnataka minister Mr Gali Janardhan reddy.

The CBI has been trying to gather as much information and evidence as possible in the Gali Janardhan reddy case to take the investigation to a logical conclusion. The CBI has already announced that they are on the verge of drawing the investigation to a close.

“We will file the charge sheet by Dec 4,” CBI joint director VV Lakshminarayana said only on Monday. Going by his statement, the investigating agency has been working hard and questioning as many persons as possible connected with the case.

Meanwhile, the special CBI court of Hyderabad today adjourned till Nov 25 hearing on the bail application of former mining department director Mr Rajagopal who is presently lodged in Chanchalguda jail after his arrest in the illegal mining case.

The court will also hear on the same day the arguments on the petitions of Rajagopal, accused in the illegal mining case and Mr Koneru Prasad, accused in the APIIC-Emaar land scam who sought special prisoner status in the jail. (JUBS)
