TRS Registers Victory In Munugode Bypoll:- The entire Telangana has been looking towards the bypoll of Munugode. All the three political parties TRS, BJP and Congress campaigned aggressively and spent lavishly for the bypoll as the result would have a strong impact on the Assembly polls in Telangana next year. The leading Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the Munugode bypoll. TRS candidate Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy emerged as a winner with a majority of 10,113 votes. BJP candidate Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy had to settle at the second place and Congress, other parties lost the trace in the Munugode bypoll. TRS got 96,598 votes and BJP stood second with 86,485 votes. Congress just got 23,864 votes and a total number of 2,25,192 votes were polled. A total number of 47 candidates participated in the bypoll and Kusukuntla Prabhakar Reddy is elected as the new MLA of the constituency.
NOTA got 482 votes. TRS Working President KT Rama Rao thanked the voters of Munugode for supporting and having a belief in TRS. He said that it was the development that took TRS further. KTR blamed BJP for the byelection in the constituency of Munugode. Forty teams of Income Tax officials have been active and they have seized crores of cash. KTR said that the voters are not lured by the gifts offered by the opposition parties and they decided to vote for leading party as the government is focused on development. He said that BJP could not defeat TRS because of the reason. Munugode headed for a bypoll after the sitting MLA Komatireddy Rajagopal Reddy submitted his resignation.
