BRS to be renamed back as TRS:- It seemed inevitable that after suffering a devastating defeat in the 2023 assembly election, BRS would be renamed TRS. The prevailing sentiment was that Telangana natives should not possess the BRS name change. Although this development has been widely discussed in recent weeks, both KCR and KTR have remained silent on the matter until now. However, putting an end to the anticipation today, KTR all but confirmed that BRS would revert back to being called TRS. This revelation occurred when he was asked about the significant number of BRS leaders defecting to the Congress.

In response to this inquiry, KTR stated, "Our party has endured for 24 years, through both good times and bad. TRS-BRS will remain loyal to the people of Telangana until the very end." KTR deliberately mentioned the name TRS while the media had been referring to the party as BRS. Many view this as an official indication from KTR that BRS will once again be known as TRS, as had been speculated. This upcoming Lok Sabha election may be the final instance in which the party is referred to as BRS during electoral battles, as the party's name will subsequently revert back to TRS.
