YSR Congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy today filed a petition in the state high court seeking to quash the orders the special CBI court directing the CBI to hand over all the documents seized during the raids on his premises to the IT officials of Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Jagan said in his petition that the special CBI court’s orders are not in tune with the civil procedure code. “The details and documents collected in a case should not be given to another department. There is no rule to support such orders,” he said in his petition.

The CBI court has ordered the CBI to hand over the documents seized during the raids on premises of Jagan and Emaar directors to the officials of the IT Department at Hyderabad and Bangalore.

Jagan said in his petition that the IT officials should have sought what exactly they wanted but they have sought all the documents seized. “They should seek documents related to my expenditure and income but what will they do with all the documents?” he argued in his petition.

“The orders of the special CBI court should therefore be quashed,” he prayed in the petition. (JUBS)
