TRS chief Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao said today the Telangana agitation would be re-launched after the Sankranthi festival in January.
Addressing the Telangana Lecturers’ Association members after unveiling their calendar in Hyderabad, KCR said he would also take up his fast unto death programme again during the budget session of Parliament and the state assembly for the sake of Telangana.
“There is no question of going back on the agitation or withdrawing it,” he said, adding that the Centre was given plenty of time to announce formation of the Telangana state but no result had come in till now.
KCR warned of increasing hatred and geographical differences between the people of Telangana and Seema Andhra area if decision on Telangana formation is delayed. “The Seema Andhra leaders must recognize this fact,” he warned.
Observing that his silence was also counted as a news item by newspapers and TV channels, KCR said except for the Samajwadi Party, all other national parties are in favour of Telangana. “The agitation has reached a final stage and there is no alternative to achieving Telangana state,” he said promising to take the T movement forward.
