DGP Mr Dinesh Reddy said today Mr Bhanu Kiran, killer of the faction leader Maddelacheruvu Suri, is still alive and the police are on the look out for him.
“The reports that Bhanu Kiran may be dead are not correct and he is very much alive,” he told newspersons in Kakinada today. The top cop of the state is on an official tour of the East Godavari district. “Our men are on his trial and we will catch him soon,” he said.
Speaking about the Maoist violence in the state, the DGP said the Maoists violence in the state is on the decline. “The movements and activities of the Maoists in the AOB (Assam Orissa Border) are being closely watched. Very soon, we will take up combing of the area through unmanned aircraft,” he said.
He said 12000 posts are being filled up in the police department in the near future. Dinesh Reddy revealed that 8 new police sub stations are being established in the district. (JUBS)
