Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu (RYK) conceived by the state Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, seems to be sending officials, administering the schemes, dizzy. The officers are tensed with the idea of providing one Lakh jobs within a fortnight as per sources. The target time is set as the CM announced on Saturday that the Prime Minister, who is to tour the state, shall distribute the offer letters on February 04, at Gachi Bowli stadium. The state would like to enlighten the scheme in a grand way and the PM visit would be the right moment.
The concerned officials face the dilemma, as the state had spent about Rs 8,000 to train each candidate in 800 training centers. And on paper the target has been met. But it turns out that several persons who had received the training are untraceable. Relying on the data sent by training centers from all the districts, the CM’s office on January 3 proudly claimed that the government has not only achieved the target of providing one lakh jobs by December 2011, but has even surpassed the target by finding jobs for 1,01,082 unemployed youths. Of these, 76,908 were through employment generation mission; 14,826 under MEPMA; 2,258 in technical education and 7,090 through the employment and training department. RYK officials are struggling to obtain data from the districts regarding to the candidates trained and the recruiters who offered them jobs.
So this is the situation, as of now. In spite of single handedly, CM trying to implement outstanding schemes to benefit the general public, support from the common man seems to be a little behind targets. This scheme would have benefitted most unemployed youth and many would have got good jobs, had they opted for the training. But nothing is grim as of now, as the concerned will definitely do the needful to accomplish their task.
RYK conceived by the state government is to provide job specific skills among the unemployed and place them in appropriate private jobs. The main mission of RYK is to convert large no. of non-literate, school dropout, unskilled and unemployed youth into productive workforce by building their skills thereby promoting inclusive growth. The target of RYK is to provide employ 15 lakh youth in jobs in the private industry by 2014. (With inputs from internet-AarKay)
