A group of unidentified miscreants hurled eggs and stones towards the YSR Congress party president YS Jaganmohan reddy at Kunkalakunta village in Nakarikallu Mandalam of Guntur district during his Odarpu Yatra this evening.
Though Jagan escaped unhurt, the incident led to some tension in the village as supporters and opponents of Jagan clashed with each other. Reports said one person was injured in the clash.
Police have taken into custody one person in connection with the attack. This is second time that Jagan faced such an attack in the villages of Guntur district. A few days ago, Jagan was attacked with eggs and stones in a village. (JUBS)
