In a disastrous incident in the early hours of the day a mother and daughter were electrocuted at Pasarlapudi Village in Khammam district. The disaster occurred when the duo were trying to hang their washed clothes on a metal string which came in contact to transmission lines. The two were identified as Seethamma (70) and Marathamma (40).

As usual the duo completed the daily chores and came out of their house to dry clothes on a metal string in their compound. The moment they touched the string they were electrocuted and succumbed on the spot. A neighbor who heard their wails rushed out and tried to rescue them. But in the melee, she also got hurt and was admitted in the nearby hospital for treatment. The sad incident occurred in the Harijan colony of the village. The colony was tense for some time over the incident. Authorities have taken control and are monitoring the health of the neighbor.  (With inputs from internet: AarKay)
