No Govt ads to Sakshi daily & news channel

After the CBI froze accounts of Sakshi media group, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has now stopped all the government advertisements to Sakshi newspaper and television, which is owned by Kadapa MP YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

It is known that Jagan, son of the late chief minister YSR, is the prime accused in Jagan disproportionate case. In connection with the same case, the court summoned Jagan to appear before it and day after that order came, CBI froze accounts of Sakshi media group.

The government has asked all the departments and agencies to stop advertisements to Sakshi group as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a charge sheet against the media house.

It may be noted that the amount contained in the seized current account were 10.31 crore rupees.

Meanwhile, Jagan who spoke on freezing of accounts has said that the move was being made to damage him ahead of by-polls to 18 assembly constituencies. The blocking of accounts has been challenged by Jagan’s group and the court deferred hearing to May 14.
