Jagan bail decision postponed to Friday

The Special CBI Court in Namapally heard the arguments of the bail plea of the Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at Hyderabad on Thursday. The court deferred the decision on the plea to Friday. CBI had urged the Court not to issue the bail to the incarcerated YSR Congress Chief till his allegations have been charge-sheeted. CBI added that the accused could tamper the evidence in the allegations.

CBI to make its appeal stronger said that the 39-year-old young leader had masterminded the whole saga by cheating the public. He had become rich at the cost of the innocent public of the state. They also claimed that the illegal money was laundered through hawala and rerouted to Jagan companies. CBI also argued that no person has the right to ask for freedom after committing such huge financial discrepancies. Among the 142 MPs who are on the CBI scanner, Jagan is also listed, added the investigating agency.

The CBI inquiry into Jagan’s business empire and the source of its funds was ordered by the Andhra Pradesh High Court in August 2011.  CBI alleges that when the late YSR was in office, he had abused his power and conspired with the ministers to influence entrepreneurs to invest in his son’s companies for favors from the government.  (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
