YSR Congress party honorary president YS Vijayamma, daughter Sharmila and son-in-law Anil Kumar approached Hyderabad High Court  as AP government has reduced their security measures. All three people filed individual petitions in High court and appealed in their petition to reassess their security.

Vijayamma in her petition claimed that AP government has a hidden agenda in taking this decision and during her husband YS Rajasekhar Reddy's regime, he imposed ban on Naxals and her life has threat from them now with the decrease of security. On August 22nd AP government has reduced security measures to Vijayamma, Sharmila and brother Anil.
