Pakistan has banned Akshay Kumar's Friday release movie 'Baby' directed by Neeraj Pandey. The censor boards of Islamabad and Sindh Province which are the biggest markets for Bollywood films, have banned 'Baby' citing the movie is against the religious sentiments of Muslims. An official of the censor board said, “Baby portrays a negative image of Muslims and the negative characters in the film also have Muslim names. So we had to ban the film.”
Neeraj Pandey and hero of the film Akshay Kumar made several attempts before the film's release as 'Baby' was surrounded by ban reports. This is not for the first time, Pakistan has banned Indian films. Earlier Shahid Kapoor's Haider, Salman Khan's Ek Tha Tiger and Saif Ali Khan's Agent Vinod were banned.
