President Pranab Mukherjee's daughter, Sharmistha will be making her political debut with Delhi Assembly elections. Sharmistha will represent the Congress party and is contesting from the Greater Kailash constituency. She has filed her nomination on Wednesday and said Congress would emerge as the single largest party in the upcoming elections.

Speaking to the media after filing the nomination, Sharmistha stated that her father's goodwill will help her to win the elections and represent the Greater Kailash constituency in the Delhi Assembly. Big wings like Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi have filed nomination today. Delhi will go to polling on February 7th and results will be declared on February10th.
