Jagan’s judicial custody extended

YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy’s judicial custody has been extended to June 25 by the CBI  Court in Hyderabad. He was, therefore, shifted back to Chanchalguda Jail. It is known that Jagan, who is facing corruption allegations in illegal assets case, was remanded by the court for 14 days judicial custody on May 28 when CBI produced him before the court.

Jagan’s bail plea then was rejected but he was treated as a special category prisoner.  He was sent to Chanchalguda Jail. Meanwhile, Jagan-during his judicial custody-approached High Court pleading that he be permitted to campaign through media and letter. His request was turned down as the CBI counsel argued Jagan was not a political prisoner.(Phani)
