The suspended polit bureau member of TDP, Uppuleti Kalpana has said that there was no place for dalits in TDP. She alleged that she was being pulled out of the party after hatching a plot. She even alleged that dalits, minorities and BCs were gradually distanced from the party's activities by TDP.  Uppuleti Kalpana has said that she worked for the upliftment of the party day and night. She said that by sending out of the party was nothing but insulting dalits.

Uppuleti has said that she met  MP Mekapati Rajamohana Reddy only for consoling and for that reason she was suspended from the party. She even questioned as to how could a party suspend its member without seeking an explanation. These statements of Uppuleti Kalpana gained significance in the wake of TDP suspending Gudur MLA Kodali Nani.
