CM: Govt waived off loans taken by farmers

The Andhra Pradesh chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has asked the officials not to slap cases against the farmers. He said that the government has waived off the loans granted to the farmers and said that government was paying off the interest rates to the loans taken by the farmers. He made these statements in East Godavari district. He, therefore, told the responsible officials as there was no need for them to register cases against the poor farmers.

Kiran Kumar Reddy has also said that the State Government has been exerting pressure on the Centre for implementing Swaminathan Commission. He has also said that he would discuss with the Centre to set up a coconut board in Konaseema region.
