The Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao has reacted vehemently on the chenetha deeksha by Vijayamma at Sircilla today. He said Vijayamma behaved like a dictator and went ahead with her protest. He has questioned the government as to why so much of security has been beefed up by the government for her protest. He has also found fault with the high handedness of the police in Hyderabad who allegedly barged into TRS Bhavan.

He has also said that there's no guarantee that police would barge into Gandhi Bhavan tomorrow. Further, he said Vijayamma's chenetha deeksha was for political benefits. He has also alleged that chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy joined hands with Vijayamma.

The statements of V Hanumantha Rao puzzled several political observers who said these statements proved that differences existed between the chief minister and several senior members of the Congress.
