YSR Congress chief and the prime accused in illegal assets case, Jaganmohan Reddy's judicial custody has been extended yet another time. Jagan will now be under judicial custody for another 14 days. The custody of Jagan concluded today and he was produced before the court through video conference. The court passed orders extending the judicial custody of Jagan till July 14.
It may be recalled that Jaganmohan Reddy was arrested on May 26-a day before the court asked him to appear before the court. On May 27, CBI produced Jagan in the court and since then the court has been remanding him to judicial custody. He is, however, treated as a VIP prisoner at Chanchalguda jail, where he's been boarded. Earlier, Jagan applied for bail in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and even after noted Ram Jetmalani argued to get bail for Jagan, the prime accused in illegal assets case couldn't get a bail. He later approached Supreme Court for bail but later withdrew his bail petition.
