Amid so many protests in the state against the gas allocation to Maharashtra, the chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy left for Delhi on Monday. People were unable to understand as to how could CM visit Delhi. But, to everyone's surprise Kiran Kumar took up the gas allocation issue in Delhi. Along with a team of MP s and state ministers, he has met the prime minister Manmohan Singh.
Kiran Kumar said the petroleum ministry has adopted a step-motherly approach towards the problems of state. In his letter to the prime minister, Kiran Kumar Reddy mentioned all these points. In contrary, the petroleum minister Jaipal Reddy said the petroleum ministry, for the past 11 months, allocated gas to Andhra Pradesh even though Maharashtra suffered acute gas shortage.
One has to wait and watch how Centre will react to Kiran's letter.
