In this nation of billions our only source for complaints is the nearest police station, most of the times we bear the brunt and never go for reporting owing to presumed cumbersome procedures. But then what happens if we approach and yet no remedial measures anvil. This only gives more wings to the accused, is it not! Well the case given below goes on to prove the point.
When eve teasing is considered to irk the teenaged ladies, their elder tribe or no different either. Every day a lady whose identity is not disclosed had been eve teased and harassed by a group of men. What ever be the reasons the woman was bearing the brunt for many days. As in most cases women feel it delicate to report most such cases and hence get into problems at a later day. However after much reluctance the woman approached the one town police station in Nellore and registered the complaint.
Actually the story should have ended here leaving the victim in dilemma as to where to approach on the issue to get rid of the menace. Actually what happened at the police station astonished the woman herself. After registering the complaint, the cops around suggested that get the miscreants to the station, then they would be punished. This was not only surprising but was also was ridiculing the case. In the process proper justice did not prevail on the complainant. After this incidence the eve teasing bouts increased and turned worse. The woman was quoted by a leading media that she received worst written texts thrown into her house on paper, by the accused gangsters.
This is however not the sole case in this state and many more go unnoticed till they result in a death or murder. If this is the fate received from the people who need to protect us then more would prefer to be silent than be harassed further. In such cases where has one to go?
