Chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has said that the government would give 1.20 lakh jobs to unemployed youth. CM, who was on Indiramma Baata programme in Kurnool district, has made this promise. He has also said that women who completed her degree would be given government jobs under Rajiv Yava Kiranaalu scheme. CM Kiran has said that while Centre was spending Rs. 25 crore for women welfare, AP alone was allotting Rs. 13 crore for the welfare of women in the state.
Meanwhile, there were reports that former minister Shankar Rao asked CM Kiran to step down from the post before the high command asks him to resign on September 10. Kiran Kumar Reddy, however, reportedly rubbished these allegations earlier and said he would continue as the CM. The political observers said that in case something like replacement takes place, Chiranjeevi would be given PCC post initially and then he would be declared as the chief minister candidate for 2014 elections. However, they said Congress would survive in AP only if it makes Chiranjeevi the chief minister of the state.
