Jeevitha Rajashekar and her actor husband Rajashekar were today charged for cheating. A Nampally court ordered the police to register a case on the couple for cheating the producer of ' Mahankali'. As per the issue the couple were alleged to have sold the film, produced by Surender Reddy, with out his knowledge.

Another person who connived with the star couple, was the distributing agency head Rammohan Rao. The couple who shot to limelight with many controversies due to their frankness or due to their foul mouth, have been charged for cheating. Mahankali stars  Rajashekar and Madhurima in the lead and  directed by Kartikeya.
