Assembly monsoon sessions opens on a chaotic note

The already shortened session of the monsoon meet of the assembly for five days is really in sufficient to look into the numerous issues of the public as ascertained by the Telugu Desam Party President. N Chandrababu Naidu. Of the five days one day is already wasted with the elected members from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, Bharatiya Janata Party and the left demanding taking up of the Telangana bill.

Inspite of adjourning the house for three times the house had to go down waste on the first day of the monsoon sessions. The speaker of the house Nadendla Manohar said that all issues could be discussed at the question hour. But this did not pacify the agitated members who rose from their seats and surrounded the speaker podium. The speaker had no alternative but to adjourn till tomorrow.

The ongoing power crisis which needed the opposition parties consensus could not be taken up in the house due to the commotion. At last the only issues that could be taken up were the verbal assault of the T-JAC Supremo Kodandaram on Minister Sridhar Babu. The house condemned the issue and expressed that the professor must tender an open apology to the minister. The chief whip of the state Gandra Venkataramana Reddy said that necessary action will be taken up if the professor does not act.

Earlier, TDP president led his party legislators on a foot march from Tank Bund to Assembly, carrying a lantern, protesting the power cuts in the State. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
