On the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi today (the birth anniversary of father of the nation), the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) has decided to stage a peaceful protest at Bapughat in Langarhouse area ofs Hyderabad today. In the wake of this schedule, the police took the entire area under their control. Meanwhile, the Governor, chief ministers and others are expected to pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi this morning at this place.

The sources said that TJAC earlier decided to stage this protest at Indira Park. However, today being Gandhi Jayanthi, the committee shifted the place from Indira Park to Bapu Ghat. Heavy bandobast has been arranged by the police in and around Bapu Ghat to ensure that no untoward incident takes place.
