A fire mishap on Sholapur-Hyderabad Falaknuma passenger train has claimed the lives of two and injured several others. Fire broke out on the general coach. The train, which left Sholapur to reach Hyderabad, halted at Gulbarga station when the incident took place.
As soon as the flames erupted, the fire brigade was pushed into the action and finally they doused off the wild flames. The railway officials are yet to ascertain the reason behind the catching up of the fire. The police, however, filed the case and an investigation was underway. The railways have announced an exgratia of one lakh rupees to the kin and kith of the deceased while Rs. 75,000 for grievously injured.
