T-activists vs CGR: Govt is referee

There have been several incidents where the movies had objectionable content being screened but immediately after there would be a voice raised against such screening, the movie makers without a second thought eliminate the part of movie and re-screen it. No damage to the makers or the protesters.

However, the tale has taken a turn for the worst after Pawan Kalyan's Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu has faced a few hurdles that couldn't be cleared yet. The T-activists on Friday objected the screening of the movie as it had objectionable content while even resorting to vandalism as a form of protest. Arson, taking down posters and burning them along with the film reels were observed. Since the situation has gone out of hand, the government had to come into the picture to take control and assuage the hurt feelings.

Minister DK Aruna has ordered the FDC to review the film and submit a report the government. A committee headed by Chandravadhan would review the movie along with Director Puri Jagannath and the committee members. Also attending this special screening today afternoon would be film maker N Shankar, music composer Vandemataram Srinivas and few others.

Currently the screening has been put off until the committee has cleared the film for the screening after 12 scenes from the movie had been cut off. If all goes well, Pawan Fans can watch the movie in their favorite theaters from tomorrow again.
