Kotla called to Delhi - Congress to reward Loyalists with ministry?
October 26, 2012 17:41
The central cabinet expansion is round the corner and Congress MP from Kurnool Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy got a call from the high command asking him to mark his presence this Sunday, where the cabinet expansion would take place. While two cabinet berths were apparently confirmed for Andhra Pradesh leaders, Chiranjeevi has always been number one for many reasons (for saving Congress in state during no confidence motion and for sacrificing PRP for the welfare of the public). So, there were reportedly no competition and doubts for Chiranjeevi. But regarding the second berth, there have been many people in the queue including Kavuri Sambasiva Rao, Sarvey Satyanarayana, Renuka Chowdhary, V Hanumantha Rao and Rayapati Sambasiva Rao. Putting aside all these names, why is that Congress high command preferred Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy?
The political observers in the state said that Congress party might have come to a conclusion that Kotla Vijaybhaskar Reddy was the loyal person besides a strong opponent of YSRC. All other members who are in the race for cabinet berths faced allegations from party members too that they might join YSRC league. On the other hand, Kotla Vijayabhaskar Reddy is the son of former Congress chief minister Kotla Vijaybhaskar Reddy, who was a strong contender of late NTR. Therefore, his son would not only be an opponent to YSRC but also to TDP, added observers.
Anyway, lets wait and watch as to which ministry Kotla Jayasurya Prakash Reddy is going to get.
