If the bill gets approved, then it would enable foreign companies to enter into Indian retail market. The opposition BJP and many parties including ally of UPA, Trinamul Congress are opposed to the bill. BJP leader Sushma Swaraj's speech yesterday in Lok Sabha gained significance in the wake of today's FDI bill.
