After the execution of the sole surviving militant in the 26/11 Mumbai case, Ajmal Kasab there have been instances of the militant agencies vowing to destroy peace in this nation, avenging his death. But nothing much happened, in spite of public anticipating with baited breaths.
However threat had come from a different quarters, this time. A threatening letter was received by Shri Sai Baba Sansthan of Shirdi, the most sought after place by millions from various parts of the country hailing from different beliefs.
It was signed by three people, and all of them belonging to this country, claiming that on January first they would blast the Shirdi temple. The letter had signatures of Ankush Bhushe, Bhaskar Khadim and Balu Lahudhkar and had the stamping of a post in Bhulthana district in Maharashtra. In it they also claim that Rs 350 crores had been received by them to carry out the job. The letter is thoroughly investigated by the police.
Is it a hoax or is there someone plotting this to disrupt the harmony? Is it the handiwork of the internal terrorists or has it got cross border links. However being cautious is the need of the hour. Extreme security measures are taken up by the Maharashtra police as it is one of the most valuable monumental structures of the nation. (Wishesh AarKay)
