Madhya Pradesh chief minister Shivraj Chauhan has sought the blessings of Tirumala deity this morning. Mr Chauhan entered the sanctum sanctorum in the VIP breaking time. He was accompanied by his family members. Further, he has kept his offerings in Sri Vari hundi. Chauhan later spoke to the media after he sought blessings of the deity.

Shivraj Chauhan has said that he prayed Lord that he should the country should witness enough rainfall and prosper. It may be noted that visiting Lord Venkateshwara on the last day of the year and on the first day of the new year is said to bring in wash off evils and bring in lots of fortune. Therefore, scores of VIPs and ordinary devotees throng Tirumala to seek blessings of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy today and tomorrow.
