What was good in 2004, why not now: CPI

Congress has been dillydallying on the Telangana issue since long that has led to the impending crisis. The state CPI secretary lashed out at the ruling party that since 2004 Congress had promised the Telangana state through its agenda and why this delay till date. He was addressing the media in his party office Kadapa. He said that lack of good governance in the state has led to this chaotic situation and the common man is most suffered of the lot.

The leader also commented over the denial of the home ministry to allow the Telangana leaders to hold a silent protest in Indira Park on Sunday. He added that as per the democratic rights anyone could peacefully protest in this vast nation. But denying the preliminary right for the Samara Deeksha, is pathetic.

He also questioned the  central government's decision to collect the opinions of the leaders of both sides after an all-party-meet. This step by the union home minister Susheel Kumar Shinde has given raise to unwanted controversies.

He claimed after giving a serious thought over the T issue only Congress has quoted the issue in its agenda and why is it delaying.

Critics feel that the only implicit meaning to the whole exercise by the ruling party was to garner the vote bank which it did succeed. But later left the promises unattended. And this has become the main reasons behind the tension. Had the government started over the formation of the new state then it would have been a process and people would have got used to it, by now.
