Andhra people are not our enemies and we have harbor no hatred towards the so many living in the Telangana region. But we are only against the political capitalists who once exploited this land and now are trying to stop the bifurcations. This statement from none other than the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee Chairperson Prof Kodandaram, brought respite to many people settled in the twin cities.
Addressing media late last night, the man who spear headed the T struggle, expressed that though the home ministry initially refused to permit the 36 hour Samara Deeksha at the Indira Park in Hyderabad, later obliged but with conditions. He also informed that the Deeksha would continue till 5 pm on Monday (January 28).
Commenting on the Congress high command's delay in announcing the decision, the leader lashed out at the ruling party. He questioned as to how long the Congress would take to honor the people sentiment of the Telangana region.
Over releasing tear gas against students in the Osmania University, the leader condemned the incident and felt that the police must have refrained from taking such actions.
On the whole, the T activists of many parties have come under one roof to voice their demand for the state bifurcation and this must be sending signals to Delhi of which way they need to sway, to ensure a peaceful state. (Wishesh AarKay)
