Major fire broke out in one of the bogies of AP Express this noon. Thick smoke was reported on S8 coach in which fire broke out. The train was heading towards New Delhi from Hyderabad when a few passengers notice the fire and pulled that chain near Nagpur of Maharashtra. The moment train halted, passengers got down from the bogies and started running.
The officials, who rushed to the spot, inquired the bogey and found that there was no damage. The South Central Railway gave permission to the officials to let the train continue with its journey after the officials said that there was no damage except fire took place when brakes were applied. Anyway, it's good that no untoward incident took place.
There's, however, no information as to why fire broke out. The observers said that railway officials should pay special attention towards fire safety especially in summer.
