Open Letter From Nandamuri Harikrishna

Former Rajyasabha MP Nandamuri Harikrishna who resigned to support a united State of AP after the CWC's decision to bifurcate the State was announced, wrote an open letter expressing his anguish as that of the Telugu people. He said that he supports united Andhra Pradesh that was advocated by NT Rama Rao founder of Telugu Desam Party.

He wrote that the Telugu people want only the united Andhra Pradesh but not equal justice, lakhs of crores of rupees worth packages or a new State Capital. He questioned who will give the guarantee BJP or Congress after 2014 elections for the assurances they are giving regarding the State division.

Harikrishna criticized that the Congress MPs mortgaged the interests of the State for votes, notes and seats. He complained that the people’s revolution for keeping the State united is weakened by the political leaders. He demanded that Sonia Gandhi who is trying to cut the State in to two should be thrown of the country.

He feared that the State will witness blood flowing in the rivers of Godavari and Krishna in place of water if the solution for the water disputes is not reached at. He questioned with what face the Congress leaders will go to the people asking for votes in the 2014 elections after what they have done to the Seemandhra region.
