Everything Normal Between Speaker and CM

The Chief Minister's office gave a statement on Friday that there is no rift between the Chief Minister and the Speaker of the State Assembly.  It is only a normal procedure that was going on as part of the administration to write a letter of that sort and get an answer for it.

The supposed rift between the Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy and Speaker Nadendla Manohar was on the issue of Prorogation of the Assembly as the new was circulating.

The Chief Minister’s office said that a note was sent to the Secretary, Legislature for prorogation of the Assembly and Council which was asked to be initiated to issue some ordinances which is not possible without prorogation and as such the move was only for the administrative convenience.

The press release from the CM’s office also says that it is unfortunate that the incident was pictured as a controversy by the media.

The other side of the story is the prorogation CM sought was taken as an attempt from his side to stop the process of Telangana State formation. It triggered an altercation between Telangana and Seemandhra leaders.
