Breaking of the news by the Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde about the Union Cabinet's approval for bifurcating the State carving out Telangana with 10 districts has triggered protests from all the districts of Seemandhra.
Bandh was total. No buses came out to the roads after the activists made protests. The passengers in the buses also cooperated in some places by getting down from the bus and shouting slogans supporting Samaikyandhra.
Political parties, Employees JAC, Students JAC, and People’s unions declared support to the Samaikyandhra movement. Private educational institutions also closed voluntarily. Students exhibited their protest at many places by forming human chains and shouting slogans, against the Government’s decision to bifurcate the State.
RTC employees unions also joined the bandh. Bandh in 13 districts are going in high spirits by rallies, rasta rokos, human chains and sloganeering. Medical and Electricity employees also supported bandh and joined in the agitation.
