Is 2013 a short circuits year- that too conspiring against the bus and rail passengers?
So many short circuit incidents came up in buses and trains. Recent one is fire broke in the coach B-1 in Bangalore-Nanded Express that killed 26 passengers on December 28. The death was a cruel one in the AC bogie in which the passengers were caught inside.
There were no efficient tools in the coach to break the window glasses. One of the passengers broke the window in the bath room and rescued many passengers explains the plight of the passengers at the time of fire broke in the AC coach. The bodies in the coach were totally charred and beyond recognition. DNA tests were conducted to ascertain which body belongs to whom but what measures the rail authorities are taking to prevent such incidents are better known to them.
First short circuit was denied but then on investigation on finding no chemicals or inflammable items present in the coach, short circuit was confirmed and as usual the authorities promised that security arrangements will be looked into and will be made more efficient.
Even in the buses also smoke was found coming out of short circuits. In a luggage compartment of a Volvo bus also open bulb holder caused short circuit.
Short circuits are not natural calamities. Those things can be fixed well if they have a will!
