Sahara chief arrested by Lucknow Police

Sahara group chief Subrata Roy surrendered before the police in Lucknow earlier today. Subrata Roy was issued non-bailable warrant by the Supreme Court for failing to make personal appearance before it in a case linked to his alleged failure to return investors' money.

On Thursday, a team of six cops raided Subrata's home in Lucknow following the Supreme Court orders but could not find him. Subrata earlier this morning released a statement that he is not hiding from anybody and was out to meet panel of doctors who are treating his ill mother during the police's visit at his home.

The police have taken Subrata into the custody and will stay till March 4th. He will be produced before the Supreme Court on same day.
