Is BJP growing in AP ?

With Kanna Lakshminarayana announcing to join to Bharatiya Janata Party [BJP], many leaders from Congress and YSR Congress party are also contemplating to join it. Firstly in the Congress party, many leaders opine that the party will take lot of time to get back to its usual form and so with no other option left, leaders who are worried about their political career are looking at alternatives. With Kanna Lakshminarayana's exit, many leaders are getting courage to step out of Congress. There are also rumours that ex-cm Kiran Kumar Reddy is gearing to join the saffron party.

On the other hand, it is a different case in YSR Congress party. There were many reports about YS Jagan's attitude and post the elections many leaders quit the party. Yesterday it was Konathala who was the most trusted supporter of late YSR, who resigned to key post within the party. Also leaders are in dilemma about their future, if Jagan gets punished in the disproportionate assets case. Certainly, people will have bad impression and as per the insiders talk, one MP and four MLAs are YSRCP are expected to join BJP soon.

However, leaders are not preferring to join Telugu Desam party. Well the reasons, there is heavy competition for leading in TDP and it also has established leaders. While BJP has no such strong leader and if at all, the upset leaders of Congress or YSRCP join BJP, they can build their own strong base and become contenders if BJP has equal chances next time. There are also rumours that BJP will demand more seats in 2019 elections and if TDP fails to accept, it might contest alone.

These developments indicate that BJP is slowing growing in Andhra Pradesh which will turn like a threat for TDP.
