The Police and Forensic officials have re-examined the room of Sunanda Pushkar wife of former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor who was found dead in mysterious circumstances in January this year. According to them, fresh evidences were found in the room which could turn out to be crucial in this case. The suite number 345 of Leela Palace hotel had remained sealed from that day and the police have opened it for the first time recently.
The police and forensic experts noticed fluid marks on the bed and the carpet and a broken glass and these evidence will be now sent to Central Forensic Science Laboratory [CFSL] for examination. The officials initiated the investigation following the second medical report of Sunanda which said poisoning as the reason behind her death. However, the police action rises questions as why they did not find these evidence when the incident happened on January 17th.
The forensic officials also wanted the police to get the bed sheet and pillow used by Sunanda tested as it would provide more information.
