Shiv Sena came down heavily on Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed for his 'demands' and warned that the nation will have to pay heavy price if Sayeed's 'poisonous' demands were fulfilled. "Demanding the remains of Afzal Guru (a convict in terror attack on Parliament) is anti-national. Guru had committed a crime against the nation and showing sympathy to him would mean ridiculing the judgement of the Supreme Court and the Indian law," said an editorial in Sena mouthpiece Samna which is considered as the opinion of Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
"The positive politics of BJP will create trouble for that party but it would pose danger to the nation. Those who know the reputation of Mufti Sayeed and his family would have never joined hands with them," said the hard- hitting editorial. It has alleged that Sayeed was never known to be pro-India but as someone who is in favour of Kashmir's independence and has sympathy for Pakistan. The editorial has slammed the chief minister for giving credit for successful elections in Kashmir to Pakistan and terrorists. It was the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Election Commission and Indian Army who deserve the credit for the same, it said.
Sena’s opinion is widely admired by the people of this country. BJP has to ensure that just to have a government in Jammu and Kashmir; it should not compromise on Article 370 or AFSPA. The security of this country is very much important along with the safety of the people in Kashmir. At any cost the Kashmiri pundits should be settled in their own places without succumbing to any pressure from PDP. BJP has to convey the message to PDP along with to Pakistan that until the last Hindustani is alive, Kashmir will be part and parcel of Hindustan. BJP should also put pressure on the Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and his party to claim and ensure Pakistan occupied Kashmir is again integrated into the Kashmir and made an integral part of Hindustan. BJP must make Mufti to state that Pakistan is a rogue state which is the breeding place of terrorism.
