Andhra Pradesh state is making all special arrangements for the set up of capital. Firstly, Naidu is concentrating on Amaravathi.
It was heard earlier that Andhra Pradesh is aiming for 3 capitals in the state. Amaravathi will be the capital for ruling, Vizag will be the capital for IT and Tirupathi for devotional. Currently AP CM is concentrating on Amaravathi.
Presently 72000 crores is the estimated cost for the construction of the capital. The works include establishing some government offices, parks, colonies, hospitals, schools, drinking water, electricity, IT companies and some other needs.
Master developer should bring investors :
The Singapore government is preparing the master plan for the capital construction of the AP capital. That plan would reach the state in June and the works will move forward accordingly. The company which is selected as the master developer will coordinate with all the construction programmes of the capital. So as the responsibility of the master developer plays a key role, that particular company will be selected only after the proper scrutiny.
The company which can bring or at least has the capacity to bring the funds in future for the capital construction will be given high preference for the master developer's position. The company which can even be able to provide employment opportunities will be an added advantage.
Currently, for the construction of the capital, AP has no financial strength and the support from the centre seems to be not sufficient. So at this point of time, it is very much necessary for the state to depend on the private investors.
Division as departments while construction
The construction programmes will be divided into 4 to 5 departments and these departments will be identified as separate companies and the funds will be allocated accordingly. The Singapore plan is anyway divided in to 14 parts. For all the 14 parts, there is a perfect plan for each part in it. The further details of that plan will be known once it reaches the state in June.
