It happens only in India: Bhujbal's properties raided after giving 1 Week's time
June 17, 2015 12:02
After giving an ample period of time, the Anti-corruption Bureau officials raided on residences and offices of NCP leader and former public works minister Chhagan Bhujbal. A total of 16 properties belonging to Bhujbal, his nephew Sameer and son Panjaj in Mumbai, Thane, Pune, and Nashik were raided by 15 teams, ACB officials said.
Last week cases were filed against Bhujbal on charges of corruption and cheating.
ACB waited for one long week to get a Nashik Court’s permission to conduct the raids. This also gives Bhujbal enough time to cover his evils :).
Jokes apart, most of the raids happened in Mumbai-in Mazgaon, Worli, Dadar, Shivaji Park and Santacruz. His farmhouse in Nashik was searched as well.
In the raid, which seems to be for the namesake, the sleuths found no cash or gold ornaments, but only the documents (obviously :) ).
The ACB had on June 8 registered a First Information Report against Bhujbal for allotment of a prime piece of land in Kalina to a developer for construction of a library. A second criminal case was registered against him on June 11 for his alleged involvement in the Maharashtra Sadan scam.
What saddens even more in the case is despite every action taken by the government to rescue Bhujbal, some newspapers and magazines tries to come up with a rosy picture about the case, highlight the heroics of the government and accredit the success to Sarkar.
