CID urges court to allow to arrest Nara Lokesh:- APCID has approached the ACB Court in Vijayawada, seeking permission to apprehend Nara Lokesh. The CID has submitted a petition to the court, claiming that Lokesh is breaching the conditions outlined in the 41A notice he received regarding the Inner Ring Road Case. The petition alleges that Lokesh is attempting to manipulate the investigation officers by referring to the Red Book. The CID emphasizes the significance of taking these "Red Book" statements seriously, as they have the potential to impede the progress of the case.
The terms of the 41A notice explicitly state that the recipient should refrain from making any statements that may influence the investigation. During his Padayatra, Lokesh has been heard mentioning the Red Book, asserting that the names of politicians and officials who have caused trouble for the TDP cadre and the general public are being documented for future action when Chandrababu Naidu assumes power. This appears to be more of a political statement or a display of strength. It is important to note that Lokesh did not specify anything about including the names of the investigation officers in either Chandrababu Naidu's or his own cases.
However, the Government is currently utilizing this situation to their advantage in the legal arena. The outcome of the court proceedings remains to be seen. The alliance between TDP and Janasena has gained significant traction following the immensely successful Vishakapatnam Public meeting. Additionally, both parties are in the process of finalizing the distribution of seats and are prepared to take their campaign to the streets. When TDP was gaining momentum, Jagan arrested Chandrababu Naidu, causing a setback that lasted for three months. Currently, they are attempting to employ a similar tactic with Lokesh, as Chandrababu Naidu enjoys temporary protection within the courts.
