“Any changes in the Zonal system should be made only with the consent of the central government,” the Advocate General (AG), Ramakrishna Reddy said.
In the past, Telangana Chief Minister KCR advised the General Administration Department (GAD), to make few proposals, whether to make any changes in the Zonal system or leave it, as it is. Regarding this, the GAD asked for the opinion of the Advocate General. Then the latter gave his opinion in writing, to the government.
“According to the law, the Zonal system is currently running in both the states. But if Telangana needs any changes to be made, it can do it with the prior consent of the central government,” the letter stated.

According to the suggestion given by AG, the GAD is planning to submit the report to the government.
On the other side, it was known that the Telangana government has announced to release a job notification of 25000 posts. Regarding this, the zonal system has become an issue for it. Few of the officials opined to cancel the zonal system completely, some others say that, it would be better if one zone is allotted for every two districts.
There are even the people who say, to cancel the zonal wise posts and allot it state wise. Only then a proper justice would be done for all the districts. However the decision of the government is still awaiting.
Andhrawishesh view:
Whatever the decision, the government takes, hope it would be beneficial to the jobless youth of the state, as it is they, who are considered as the key people, behind achieving the separate state.
