Operation Akarsh is now ringing the wrong bells to Telugu Desam Party in Andhra Pradesh.
TRS government in Telangana has almost zeroed all the oppositions parties and is now sounding high, establishing itself as an immovable and irreplaceable. Most of the members from the other party, joining TRS, has made the party stronger.
TDP, who lost its strength in Telangana, is now reportedly following the footsteps of TRS and is implementing Operation Akarsh, to attract opposition party YSRCP MLAs into the party. Already several opposition MLAs joined TDP, making Jagan’s party isolated.
At this point of time, the situation is more favorable to YSRCP, unlike TDP, which is supposed to be in a better position, with the newly added MLAs.
Analysts question that, when there are considerable number of MLAs to strengthen the party, which is already in a good position, still what is the need of attracting YSRCP MLAs and what is Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Chandra Babu Naidu’s intention behind this activity is one question, that is haunting Jagan and the political analysts.
A few opine that, Naidu is trying to surpass Jagan and his party completely, just like TRS did to TDP in Telangana.
The question is different here in Telangana, as the majority, TRS got here is highest among the state politics. But in AP, there is not much difference in the seats won by TDP and YSRCP. So it is obvious that, TDP would be criticized by several people in the state, if the party tries to drag the other party MLAs.
How the alleged negative influence on TDP, would benefit YSRCP in the coming days, is to be seen.
