
The second edition of National Children’s Film Festival will be held in November this year in Vishakhapatnam.
The film festival will be held on Children’s day at Children Arena Auditorium, being built by the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority. Children’s Film Society of India will be conducting the festival.
VUDA secretary A Srinivasa Rao said that “ Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is very particular about the construction of the VUDA Children Arena as he is very enthusiastic about hosting the National Children Film Festival.’’
He said that “the Chief Minister is also planning to hold the International Children Film Festival if the National Festival evokes a good response.’
He added that “an acoustics expert from Hyderabad has been hired to provide a state-of-the-art sound system which would be on par with the international standards. In all aspects, the auditorium would be one of the best in the country, and would be the right choice for hosting any international event.”
The first edition of National Children’s Film Festival was held for three days at Siri Fort in New Delhi on November 14. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced cleanliness drive, CFSI also announced that the theme of the festival was ‘Swachhta’.
The festival will show films made by children’s or made in India by Indian makers. Bollywood personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha participated in the first edition of the festival.
