Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa who was hospitalized on September 22, was analyzed by a health expert from Singapore who joined the group of doctors treating Hospital on Sunday.
Sources said that "the expert examined Jayalalithaa’s treatment and consulted the other doctors, including AIIMS specialists and expert from UK Richard John Beale, who re-examined the AIADMK secretary’s health during the last couple of days."
They said that "as Jayalalithaa’s health condition continued to improve, necessary antibiotics, nutrition, supportive therapy and passive physiotherapy were being given to her.
Doctors confirmed that "the chief minister is still under observation of a panel of doctors consisting of intensivists, cardiologists, respiratory physicians and infectious disease specialists among others."
The last bulletin from Apollo Hospitals was issued on October 10, which said that "Jayalalithaa was in respiratory support. "
Many ministers have been visiting Apollo Hospital to meet the CM. On Sunday evening Actor Rajinikanth and his daughter Aishwarya visited the hospital and enquired about the chief minister’s health.
Senior BJP leader and Union minister Pon Radhakrishnan said: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi might visit Chennai to see Jayalalithaa,as he was keen to get information on her health."
"Rajinikanth and Aishwarya were at the hospital for about 20-25 minutes and enquired about her health," hospital sources said.
Soon after Jayalalithaa was admitted, Rajinikanth in his official twitter handle had said, "I pray to God for your speedy recovery."
